COHHIO’s next annual conference is still months away, but Josh Johnson, our Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator, is already gearing up for the Housing Ohio 2019 conference on April 8-10. If you would like to share your insights on issues of homelessness and housing with hundreds of your colleagues throughout the state, there’s still time to submit a workshop proposal! Questions? Contact me at Josh Johnson.

Meanwhile, COHHIO has been extremely busy hosting in-person trainings and webinars in the past months, including best practices in serving Survivors of Domestic Violence, LGBTQ, Case management, and Addiction 101 which is the first part of the three-part series Understand, Prepare, React. If you missed these, recordings of these training can be found Training Materials Page. Upcoming trainings that we are excited to bring to the COHHIO network include:

  • Nov. 29, 1-2:30 pm: Understand, Prepare, React: Preparing Your Program (Webinar) – the second in a three-part series that builds on  information from Addiction 101. Learn about preventive techniques and interventions that keep individuals and providers safe in their homeless and housing programs.
  • Best Practices in Mediation (Webinar)

Keep an eye on the COHHIO Calendar for future opportunities.

In addition, COHHIO’s participating in the Ohio Civil Rights Commission’s Fair Housing Symposium next week on Nov. 27. Click here for more information.
