The Coalition on Homelessness and Housing In Ohio (COHHIO), in partnership with Safe and Supported, is offering a FREE LGBTQ Cultural Competency Training of Trainers (TOT) to help ensure that LGBTQ youth and young adults are welcomed and affirmed in organizations serving this population.
The goal for this TOT is to offer an opportunity for Ohioans to receive LGBTQ culturally competent interventions by enhancing efforts of providers, practitioners and organizations to become proficient in LGBTQ culturally competent practices. This two day TOT will prepare trainers to replicate the Moving the Margins curriculum in their community by providing the opportunity to experience the training firsthand, as well as learning best practices for facilitation of the curriculum.
- Date: September 28th and 29th 2017 (Thursday/Friday)
- Time: 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
- Location: Holiday Inn Downtown-Capitol Square – 175 East Town St., Columbus, OH 43215
Due to a limited amount of slots available for COHHIO’s housing partners and providers for this TOT, we ask that those interested in attending read the LGBTQ Cultural Competency TOT announcement for more information regarding training details and expectations. We also ask that you complete a short application by Monday, July 31st, 2017. The link to the application can be found in the TOT announcement.
