COHHIO Executive Director Amy Riegel testified in support of legislation this week to strengthen supports for at risk mothers (HB 7), which includes a $16 million appropriation for Healthy Beginnings at Home – groundbreaking research that is demonstrating that housing assistance can reduce infant mortality, improve family health outcomes, and slash Medicaid spending.
