The November 2019 General Election is right around the corner. While most attention is already on the 2020 Presidential Election, we are focusing on this year’s election by showing voters that local elections really matter to them.

We need your help to do that! Join COHHIO’s Ohio Votes program as we build on our new tradition of The People’s Power Party on National Voter Registration Day (Sept. 24). If your organization can serve as a host site, celebrating voter engagement with free food, voter education, registration opportunities, and absentee ballot assistance, please sign up to host an Ohio Votes volunteer on National Voter Registration Day! An Ohio Votes volunteer will facilitate the event for your residents or clients. This is a great way to help your folks get engaged and empowered!

If you’ve already got civic engagement programming in the works, have we connected this year to discuss potential collaborations? Please reach out to Maria Bruno at MariaBruno@cohhio.org to schedule a time to chat and get connected with the Ohio Votes Lead in your region.

Are you looking to register voters at your organization, but need a primer on nonpartisan registration and voting rules and messaging strategies? Join our training for general voting volunteers on September 4. If you would like additional information about Ohio Votes, sign up for our email list or email MariaBruno@cohhio.org.
