Journalist Brian Goldstone recently published the book "There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America," focusing on people who are working while unhoused and the increasing trend of extended stay hotels. The New York Times recently named it one of the 10 Best Books of 2025.
For over 30 years, this annual gathering has provided housing advocates, service-providers, community development professionals, policy-makers and individuals with lived experience the opportunity to converge, connect and co-create solutions for affordable housing and homelessness in Ohio. There will be 5 sessions of breakout workshops throughout the two-day conference.

2026 conference pricing:
Housing Ohio attendees are eligible to earn Continuing Education Units by attending conference sessions. COHHIO is approved to provide CEUs to individuals who are licensed under the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
In order to receive CEUs, attendees must complete an evaluation form through the conference app Whova following each session. Certificates will be sent to CEU applicants after submissions have been verified and approved.

COHHIO uses an online platform called Whova as your guide for the Housing Ohio conference. First download Whova, then you can easily view the agenda, plan your personal schedule, access session documents and slides, see who else is attending and reach out to them, plan social activities and meet ups, visit sponsor pages, and receive updates like last minute session changes.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received by April 6 at 5:00 p.m. for a full refund. Requests received after this date will be subject to a $75 per ticket administrative fee.
No-shows who failed to cancel their registration prior to the start of the event will be required to pay the full registration fee. Please send all cancellation requests to Jaleesa Lee.

A limited number of scholarships are available for people with lived experience and organizations that would otherwise be unable to attend the conference due to financial hardship.

Scholarships cover registration for the two-day conference only and do not include travel or lodging. Each organization may receive one scholarship per year.
