Case conferencing usually includes regular meetings of key case workers and CE staff from multiple projects and agencies to discuss cases, resolve barriers to housing, and make decisions about priority, eligibility, enrollment, termination, and appeal.
Shared Housing is when two or more people live together in short- or long-term housing. This practice can help households and service providers maximize available housing resources while also supporting community building and supportive relationships.
The Ohio BoSCoC offers support, training, and technical assistance to expand the implementation of Shared Housing opportunities in our communities.
Using federal criteria and benchmarks as a roadmap, the Ohio BoSCoC has developed a coordinated and standardized response to veteran homelessness. Improving system coordination, maximizing VA resources, and leveraging best practices in homeless services provision has resulted in a significant step toward our goal of ending homelessness among Ohio's veterans.
Ohio Balance of State Youth Homelessness System Improvement (YHSI) work
The Ohio BoSCoC completed a youth-led data analysis project in 2026 to answer two key questions:
• How do the systems often encountered by unstably housed youth in Ohio mitigate or contribute to the likelihood that a young person will experience homelessness? • What policy and practice changes in Ohio are needed to improve these systems and decrease housing insecurity?
