Thank you to everyone who joined us for Housing Ohio 2026! Our annual conference has grown each year and this one was no exception, setting a new record with 785 attendees, 105 speakers, 57 sessions, and 33 sponsors!
Donald Whitehead, executive director of the National Coalition for the Homeless, kicked off the conference on April 5 with a plenary address delivering insights on the history of America's housing crisis and an inspirational message focused on creating a housing system designed to meet this moment.
On April 6, Brian Goldstone, author of the book "There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America," joined 10TV anchor Stacia Naquin for a discussion on how we can create a better future for people trapped in the low-wage economy that can't afford a home. One week later, Brian was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction!
Throughout the conference, housing advocates, service-providers, community development professionals, policy-makers and individuals with lived experience connected and collaborated to devise ways to strengthen Ohio's response to housing insecurity.
